“Ang alam ko merong bridge that they [will] build dito. Kasama ‘yun sa 75 major projects,” Diokno said in a media interview.
“That will be [in] 2018. Baka 2020 matatapos,” he added.
Diokno was in Iloilo last March 8 for the Iloilo Trade and Investment Forum organized by the British Chamber of Commerce Philippines (BCCP).
He said a Chinese company will “most likely” undertake the project, which has an estimated cost of P27.156 billion.
According to Diokno, the present administration will implement about 5,000 infrastructure projects all over the country.
“Ang plano talaga namin is to link lagging regions to the urban centers,” he said.IMT
