The 2018 edition of CAPIZtahan, the 117th foundation day commemoration of the civil government of Capiz, will showcase unique and spectacular activities from April 13-15.
Governor Antonio del Rosario said visitors will surely enjoy numerous and colorful activities, unparalleled seafood offerings, and the rich culture of Capiz.
He acknowledged the unified efforts of both the public and private sectors to establish Capiz as a premier destination for those craving for seafood.
Activities in line with CAPIZtahan include Mutya sang Halaran sa CAPIZtahan, Raising of the Philippine National Flag as well as provincial, city and municipal banners, Capiz-agro Industrial Trade Fair, Food Trip sa Capiz, Fireworks display, Sadsad Capiz, TriAksyon (Capiz International Triathlon 2018), Parada sang mga Higante, and Wreath Laying of the 70th death anniversary of Pres. Manuel Acuña Roxas.
The opening ceremony will kick off on April 13 with a thanksgiving mass at the Metropolitan Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception of Roxas City.
For the second time, the raising of the Philippine flag and banners will be held at the Capiz Provincial Park that is currently undergoing major improvements including the construction of waterfalls, enduring flagpoles, and perimeter fence, among others.
Food Trip sa Capiz, a sumptuous treat at the “Seafood Capital of the Philippines”, awaits the guests of CAPIZtahan.
The second hosting of the Capiz International Triathlon is expected to draw more spectators at the race areas of the event that help to boost the local economy of Roxas City and Capiz province.PR/IMT
