Representative Arthur “Toto” Defensor Jr. is the official candidate of the ruling Partido Demokratiko Pilipino–Lakas ng Bayan (PDP-Laban) in the 2019 gubernatorial race.

This was announced by Governor Arthur Defensor Sr. during a press conference on Thursday.

Defensor Jr.’s running mate is Vice Governor Christine “Ting-Ting” Garin, who decided to seek re-election.

Sa PDP-Laban ya, si Toto governor, si Ting-Ting ang vice. Wala na sing pagbag-o sina,” Defensor Sr. said.

The governor is confident that the tandem of his son and Garin will win next year.

“Sure winner na si Ting-Ting as vice governor kag si Toto as governor,” Defensor Sr. said.

On Tuesday, May 8, Fourth District Congressman Ferjenel Biron confirmed that he will run for governor of the province.

Biron, who is a National Unity Party (NUP) member, said he has not yet chosen his running mate. IMT
