Fuel prices continue to rise

Fuel prices in the country rose by an average of P11 since January this year.

The last time oil companies implemented a price hike was yesterday, Sept. 11.

Prices of gasoline, diesel, and kerosene went up by P0.65 per liter.

This was the fifth consecutive week that pump prices hiked.

The increase was due to the high oil prices in the international market and the implementation of the implementation of the Tax Reform for Acceleration and Inclusion (TRAIN) law, which imposed higher excise taxes on petroleum products.

Based on data from the Department of Energy (DOE) prices of gasoline currently range from P46.15 to P63.91 per liter, diesel from P42.30 to P48.10 per liter, and kerosene from P47.42 to P52.66 per liter.IMT
