Iloilo City gets new police chief

The Iloilo City Police Office (ICPO) has a new head.

Senior Supt. Martin Defensor assumed on Wednesday, Sept. 12, as director of ICPO.

The former Regional Headquarters Support Group (RHSG) head replaced Senior Supt. Henry Biñas.

Biñas is now the chief of the Regional Personnel and Human Resource Development Division (RPHRDD).

He replaced Senior Supt. Canilo Fuentes, who was reassigned to the Capiz Police Provincial Office (CPPO).

The former director of CPPO, Senior Supt. Samuel Nacion, took over the post vacated by Defensor.

Defensor is a member of Class 1993 of the Philippine National Police Academy (PNPA).

Police Regional Office (PRO-6) Director Chief Supt. John Bulalacao, said the revamp was not based on the performance of those involved.

“It’s part of the regular movement within the ranks,” he explained.IMT
