In recent years, Iloilo has distinguished itself as a powerhouse of innovative fashion design producing an array of talented designers. Among them is Jun-G Candelario whose ambitious and inventive spirit has earned him recognition not only in Iloilo, but also all over the country and abroad.
Candelario was introduced to the fashion world through his elective subject in dress making way back in High School in his native town Lemery. After moving to Iloilo in 2011 to pursue his studies where he graduated his BS degree in Architecture at the University of San Agustin, at 22, he then started a new life as a fashion designer. Candelario carved himself a budding career by dressing beauty pageant contestants. Renowned for his elegant style, Candelario’s designs use rich and luxuriant fabrics to create a clean, classic look that oozes sophistication.
His gorgeous hablon prom dresses have been a new favourite among prom dress shoppers. His award-winning collection of crystal-embellished silk chiffon or hablon pageant gowns have been worn by pageant winners and prom goers alike. Candelario is an accomplished designer of prom and pageant evening wear worn by beauty queens. Other signature designs are his ballroom gowns, mermaid prom dresses adorned with dazzling beaded sequins, delicate lace, or beautiful embroidery.
Candelario show extra attention to detail that is exquisite. Nothing short of fabulous, short dresses and ballgowns are of exceptional fabrics like soft organza, delicate lace, flowy chiffon, and smooth satin, hablon, pina and jusi. From vintage elegance to modern trends, Candelario is a designer for all reasons.
