NFA Urges Grains Businessmen to Renew Licenses

Rice Business PermitNational Food Authority Iloilo Provincial Office urges all grains businessmen to renew their licenses on schedule for 2014.

NFA Iloilo Provincial Manager Marianito B. Bejemino said that the renewal of business permit runs from January to June.

The month of February is assigned to all grains business operating in the City of Iloilo including the municipality of Sibunag in Guimaras. March is designated for the municipalities of Alimodian, Cabatuan, Janiuay, Leon, New Lucena, and Sta. Barabara in Iloilo and Jordan and Nueva Valencia in Guimaras.

April has been allocated to the processing of licenses for the 5th District of the province including the municipality of Oton. May is for all the municipalties in the 4th District. While the municipalities of Guimbal, Leganes, Miag-ao, Pavia, Pototan, San Joaquin, Tigbauan, Tubungan, and Zarraga is scheduled for June.

“As of January this year, 295 rice retailers and millers have already renewed their licenses. We are expecting about 2,138 grains businessmen to renew their licenses for this year. Also, we are requesting that they process it on their scheduled month to avoid the surcharge,” said Bejemino.

For those interested to secure a license from NFA, they must bring two copies of 2×2 ID picture, their Mayor’s Permit, TIN Number, and official receipt for the registration/calibration of the weighing scale.
