PhilHealth opens new, bigger office in Guimaras

The Philippine Health Insurance Corp.’s (PhilHealth) satellite office in the province of Guimaras is now open.

Lourdes Diocson, regional vice-president for Western Visayas, said the new and bigger office at GEMPC Building, Guimaras Provincial Capitol Grounds aims to accommodate the increasing number of PhilHealth members in the province.

“Ten years ago, we started in a very small space in the provincial hospital here,” she recalled.

“Now, we have a huge number of members in the province,” Dioscon added.

She noted that a total of 177,119 Guimaras residents, as of December 31 last year, are covered the country’s health insurer.

PhilHealth’s new office was inaugurated on May 20.

The inauguration was led by Ramon Aristoza, chief operating officer, Jane Sta. Ana, OFW representative and Governor Samuel T. Gumarin. IMT
