Superintendent Joem Malong, PRO-6 spokesperson, said they are not discounting the possibility that there are new drug groups operating in the region.
“Natingala man kami kon ngaa padayon sa gihapon ang problema sa droga bisan ginpasangkad na naton ang aton kampanya batok diri,” she told the media on Tuesday, Aug. 28.
“Ginavalidate pa namon ang information about the existence of new drug groups here,” she added.
According to Malong, a total of 58 drug personalities in WV were killed since the start the Philippine National Police’s (PNP) campaign against illegal drugs in July 2016.
Among those killed were Melvin “Dragon” Odicta and Richard “Buang” Prevendido, who were identified by the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA-6) as drug lords.IMT
