Fifteen towns in the province of Iloilo still have no fire stations up to now, according to the Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP).

Provincial Fire Marshal Superintendent Jose Filomeno Salolog told local government units (LGUs) to look for vacant lots for the construction of their fire stations.

“After identifying the sites, they (LGUs) can send us their requests for the project,” he said.

Salolog said each fire station costs around P4 million.

But even though some LGUs have no fire station, Salolog said that all 42 towns and the component city of Passi have fire trucks. IMT
