The Iloilo Dinagyang Festival will take part in the Aliwan Festival in April this year.

This was confirmed by Mayor Jed Patrick Mabilog during the Thanksgiving Dinner organized by the Iloilo Dinagyang Foundation, Inc. (IDFI) recently.

The 2016 Dinagyang Ati Tribe Competition champion, Tribu Salognon, will represent the city in what is dubbed “The Festival of all Festivals”, which will be held in Manila.

It was in 2013 when the city last participated in Aliwan.

Mabilog said the City Government may allocate P2 million for the participation of Tribu Salagnon.

IDFI will also provide financial assistance to the tribe of the Jaro National High School. IMT
