The province of Guimaras has accepted with reservation the offer of DoubleDragon Properties Corp. to  use the  Guimaras Iloilo Ferry Terminal System (GIFTS) without collecting terminal fees to the passengers going to the island province famous of its sweet mangoes.

Acting Governor Atty. John Edward Gando said that DoubleDragon Properties Corp. relayed its offer through Iloilo City Mayor Jed Patrick Mabilog  who wrote them a letter last January 23, 2017.

Gando added that DoubleDragon Properties Corp. has signified it may or may not collect terminal fees after ten years.

The acting governor clarified they will not compromise their no collection of terminal fee stand even after ten years of free use.

Meanwhile, Atty. Gando has warned the public especially those with cargoes to refrain from paying fees being collected by individuals or groups as no agency has been authorized to collect terminal dues. IMT
