Castillo, in a media interview, said it’s all systems go for the regional athletic meet, which will kick off tomorrow, February 7.
“We are definitely ready. Everything is in place for the four-day WVRAA meet,” she stressed.
DepEd-6 Regional Director Julieta Braga, overall tournament manager, assured that every billeting quarter, where delegates will stay, has enough supply of water.
“Our request for the augmentation of water supply has already been approved by the Metro Iloilo Water District (MIWD),” she said.
In terms of security preparations, Braga said they also coordinated with the Iloilo Police Provincial Office (IPPO) to ensure the safety of delegates.
More than 3,000 delegates from the provinces of Guimaras, Aklan, Antique, Capiz and Iloilo will see action in various sporting events with 445 gold medals at stake.
