Some areas in the towns of Cabatuan, Sta. Barbara, and Pavia will experience a 19-hour brownout on Sunday, May 5, 2019.
Electricity, according to the Iloilo Electric Cooperative I (ILECO I), will be cut off starting 1 a.m. until 7 p.m.
ILECO I manager Mike Paguntalan said they would “upgrade” the old transformer of their power substation in Sta. Barbara.
The scheduled brownout will affect the following:
*CABATUAN: Iloilo International Airport, Cadoldolan, Guibuangan-Tigbauan, Talanghauan, and Tiring
*STA. BARBARA: Agusipan, Agutayan, Arroyo St, Bagumbayan, Ban-ag, Bantay, Barasa Este/Oeste, Bermejo St, Binangkilan, Bitaog-Taytay, Blanco St, Bolong Este/Oeste, Buayahon, Burgos St, Cabugao Sur, Cafe, Canipayan, Castilla St, Daga, Dalid, Duyan-Duyan, GMTD, GM Delgado, Taft St., Guno, Hinco St., Lacadon, Lanag, Magalona St., and Mambuyo, Manhayang, Maravilla St, Merlo St, Miraga-Guiboangan, Montinola St, Omambong, Pal-agon, Pungsod, Rizal St., Rodriguez St, Roosevelt St., Sangcate, Sodusta St., Talanghauan, Tigtig, Tugas, and Tungay
* PAVIA: Amparo, Cabugao Sur, Evangelista St, Hedriana St, Maliao, Maquiling St, Pal-agon, Ramos St., and Sumakwel
Other areas covered by ILECO I will also experience power interruption due to the “temporary disconnection and connection of loop of 69kV line at the Santa Barbara power substation.”
The brownout will occur from 1 a.m. to 2 a.m. and from 6 p.m. to 7 p.m.
Affected areas are portions of the towns of Alimodian, Cabatuan, Guimbal, Igbaras, Leon, Maasin, Oton, San Miguel, Santa Barbara, Tigbauan, Tubungan, and Pavia (except Pavia’s barangays Anilao, Cabugao Norte, Pagsanga-an, Poblacion, Tigum, Ungka 1 and 2).IMT
