The town of Pontevedra in Capiz will soon have two malls.
Administrator Francisco Contreras said 168 Mall located across the town plaza is set to open its doors next month while Primark Mall will be constructed in next to no time.
“We will offer them tax incentives as we encourage investors to put up their businesses here,” he told IMT News.
Meanwhile, Contreras said they have alloted P5 million for additional stalls at public markets.
The construction of a sports gymnasium is underway. Once completed, it will be named in honor of General Esteban Contreras.
Other projects being undertaken by the local government are the concreting of farm-to-market roads worth P12 million, construction of the Municipal Hall building, and flood mitigation system worth P3 million.
The Department of Interior and Local Government (DILG) will also provide P14 million for various decelopment projects in the town.
Contreras said the construction of an esplanade along Iloilo River will be funded by the national government.IMT
